Mckenzie Kool
Co-Founder & Director of Trauma Informed Care

Mckenzie’s approach to therapy comes from her experience in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, combined with the observation that the symptoms clients present with often have roots in unprocessed trauma or distressing life events. She works from an attachment perspective and a brain-based approach that aims to integrate unprocessed trauma in the nervous system, in order to alleviate psychological distress and unhealthy relationship patterns. Mckenzie also works to help clients resolve generational trauma that is passed down through no fault of our own. Mckenzie believes that we all have the ability to heal from the life experiences that have disconnected us from who we really are. She is nonjudgmental, empathetic, and believes that counselling should be both insightful and fun.
She has completed advanced training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), attachment focused EMDR, EMDR and egostates, clinical hypnosis, Internal family systems (IFS), and the comprehensive resource model (CRM).
Mckenzie holds a deep understanding in working with complex PTSD, generational trauma, attachment disorders, and dissociative disorders. She is LGBTQ2SIA+ friendly and provides counselling to adults and couples.

Katie Pelletier
Co-Founder & Director of Child, Youth, and Family Support
Registered Psychologist
Katie believes that all people are capable of positive change, overcoming challenges, finding compassion, and becoming the best that they can be. She works from an attachment-based, trauma informed perspective and uses a mind-body approach that aims to heal past wounds in order to help clients alleviate their distress and reach their counselling goals in a holistic and sustainable way. Katie works from a family systems orientation, working with clients to help address challenges in their family systems and social supports. She often collaborates with schools and other structured support systems, believing that sustainable change needs to be reflected in and supported by the systems supporting her clients.
Katie has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Self-Regulation Therapy (SRT), Response-Based Approach, and Theraplay, individually tailoring her approach to meet the needs of her children, youth and adult clients. Katie is LGBTQ2SIA+ friendly and provides counselling to children, youth, families and adult individuals in both English and Spanish.
Katie holds a deep understanding of how to support clients with a wide variety of developmental levels, including those with developmental disabilities and works to tailor her approach to the developmental needs of her clients. She often incorporates play and art therapy techniques into her work with children, youth and families.

Sunny Cheung
Registered Psychologist
Sunny believes that everyone is capable of creating positive changes in their life and that distress is often the catalyst for personal growth and meaningful transformation. Sunny finds value in understanding how past experiences shape our ways of thinking, relationship patterns, and coping mechanisms. He individually tailors his therapeutic approach and works collaboratively with clients to provide tools in supporting them to achieve their goals and find meaning and contentment in their lives.
Sunny’s approach comes from his extensive training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), family systems, and solution-focused therapy (SFT). He works from an attachment-based perspective and is trauma informed. He believes that creating a safe and supportive relationship with clients is the foundation for effective therapy.
In addition to individual counselling, Sunny has experience and enjoys working with children, youth, and families. He provides tools to help reduce distress, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and resolve conflict. Sunny also provides support for youth and parents as a school liaison, bridging the support received in counselling into the classroom for consistent care. He has been described as calm, empathetic, and authentic. He is LGBTQ2SIA+ friendly.

Leanne Pfliger
Provisional Psychologist
With a decade of mental health training rooted in an adolescent therapeutic campus-based mental health treatment program, she brings extensive experience and passion for helping individuals process trauma. She works from an attachment perspective and a brain-based approach that aims to integrate unprocessed trauma in the nervous system, to alleviate psychological distress and unhealthy relationship patterns. She has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), and CRM for kids.
Leanne values the therapeutic relationship as a cornerstone for facilitating positive change. Her expertise lies in understanding the complexities of mental health and intergenerational trauma. She works effectively with children, youth, and adults, equipping her clients with tools to enhance communication, strengthen relationships, and alleviate psychological distress.
Leanne has experience supporting individuals at various developmental levels, including those with developmental disabilities and Autism. She has extensive knowledge and experience collaborating with providers such as FSCD/PDD clients to organize and create comprehensive treatment plans. Janelle Morhun

Janelle believes therapy is for everyone, whether they are currently struggling or looking to learn more about themselves. She provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore her clients needs, and encourages them to get curious. She is comfortable sitting with clients in difficult feelings, helping them identify glimmering moments of hope, and brings her creativity into the therapy space by incorporating art, play, and gentle movement.
Janelle draws from a number of therapeutic approaches, using a brain-based, trauma-informed lens. She tailors her therapeutic approaches to best meet her client’s goals by drawing from narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), art therapy, internal family systems, and somatic therapies. She is also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and play therapy.
Janelle has a deep, brain-based understanding of the many ways in which trauma impacts different areas of an individual’s life, and has extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced sexual violence. Chloe Devereux

Chloe’s approach to counselling comes from the perspective that people have the capacity to adapt to their experiences and environment. She believes that healing is best supported in connection with others and views the counselling relationship as an integral part of change. Chloe strives to help clients make sense of how their life experiences are affecting their current personal challenges, behaviour patterns, and relationship distress, using brain-based approaches to help them reconnect with their true selves. Chloe places an emphasis on holistic care, facilitating secure attachments and other support within a client’s network to promote optimal development and meaningful change.
Chloe works from a client-centered approach. She walks alongside clients to support them as they process their experiences and emotions to develop insight, resilience, and flourishing. She works with her clients to generate new perspectives and work towards their goals. Chloe also draws from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy and play therapy, allowing her to tailor her approach to meet the developmental needs of her clients.

Jenni provides a nurturing, trauma-informed space for her clients, allowing them to authentically heal and grow. Employing a client-centered, integrative approach rooted in feminism, somatic, and emotion-focused therapies, she tailors tools to address challenges. Jenni utilizes a relational, collaborative approach, incorporating essential elements into clients' lives for individualized care.
Trained in Gottman Method and EMDR, Jenni brings diverse experience working with families, children, and youth in various settings, demonstrating a trauma-informed practice. Jenni welcomes clients from all backgrounds, maintaining an LGBTQ2SIA+ friendly and kink-aware practice.

She emphasizes holistic healing, recognizing that mental health is deeply connected to physical, social, and spiritual well-being. Kimberley has a deep understanding that current psychological distress, behaviour patterns, and interpersonal conflict is rooted in unhealed negative life events and unprocessed trauma.
Kimberley tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client, and utilizes attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), polyvagal theory, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic approaches. With over 25 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, she integrates a deep understanding of the mind-body connection into her counselling practice. Trained in trauma-informed approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDRIA, Elizabeth draws from therapeutic modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches to tailor her work to each client’s unique needs.
